Year 3 Reading parent workshop and Book tasting session
On Thursday 5th May, we held a Reading workshop and book tasting session for Year 3 parents and carers. Mr Smith delivered extremely useful information on how we deliver Reading in school and shared the National Curriculum expectations. He also shared numerous hints and tips for how parents can support their child at home with Reading and recommended reads for Year 3 learners. Parents and carers were then treated to a book tasting session where they could explore some of the books studied so far this year in Year 3, some of the recommended reads for children this age and a range of fiction and non-fiction texts from our school library and the Year 3 book corner. Children also read to their grownups and each other and parents read to the children. As ever, the feedback was extremely positive and we thank you all for your continued support.
