Gallery Year 4 Reading Morning

On Thursday 30th July, we had an excellent turn out for our parental Reading workshop and book tasting session. Mrs Whitehurst delivered an extremely informative workshop, detailing the National Curriculum expectations for Year 4, what we do at Annie Lennard for Reading across the curriculum, not just in English; how parents can support their child at home and she shared some 'recommended reads' for Year 4 children to help parents with knowing what material their child might like to access. Parents were then able to read to and be read to by their child utilising a whole range of reading material from our school library and classroom collections. The feedback we received, both in person and through our feedback forms, was very complimentary and we truly appreciate all our parents' continued support.
