11th March Newsletter

Friday 11th March 2022
We had a super turn out for our Maths parent workshop and stay and play session on Wednesday 9th March. We were thoroughly delighted to open our doors once more, now Covid restrictions have been relaxed, and invite parents back in to school. Mrs Bavin our Early Years co-ordinator delivered a very informative workshop on how we deliver Maths in both Nursery and Reception, packed full of ideas on how you can support your child at home with Maths. Parents were then able to play alongside their child in Early Years, trying out some of the ideas suggested as well as indulging in all the fabulous activities on offer in our Early Years provision. Staff were on hand to answer any questions and support where needed. A truly wonderful morning was had by all! We look forward to welcoming you to our other events listed below.

Comic Relief – Friday 18th March 2022
On Friday 18th March, we will be raising money for Comic Relief. As previously communicated, children can come to school in their own clothes and wearing a red nose, for a small donation.
We will also be holding a fun-filled sporting activity day where each class will get chance to participate in a range of sporting activities outside with our Sports coach from the Albion Foundation, Mr Foreman. Activities will be at 5 different stations and children will get time at each station before rotating to the next activity. We are kindly asking parents/carers to sponsor their child to take part with all monies raised going to Comic Relief. It is not an obligation to sponsor your child in order to take part in the activities, ALL children will get to participate regardless of whether they have been sponsored or not but Comic Relief is such a worthwhile cause as I'm sure you are aware and the charity will be truly grateful for any monies raised.
‘YOUR DONATIONS MEAN EVERYTHING
Poverty isn’t simple, and it’s not always easy to see. It’s behind so many of the issues that we work to tackle. In each of these areas, the COVID-19 pandemic has made people’s lives even harder, so your support is as important as ever. We believe those who are closest to the issues have the best solutions, so we work with them to build a better world. We are also extremely concerned about the fast-deteriorating ongoing situation in Ukraine. As the conflict intensifies, civilians are increasingly at risk. We’re working with our partners right now to make sure your Red Nose Day donations can support people fleeing the war in Ukraine’.
Your child will be bringing home a sponsorship form. Should you choose to sponsor them, please return the sponsorship form to school with the sponsorship money, no later than Friday 25th March in an envelope, clearly labelled with your child's name.
We are confident it will be a fun-filled day for all!
Thank you for your continued support.
Mrs Jones
