Solihull Approach

Understanding your Child’s Behaviour

A Solihull Approach Group for parents and carers

We will be running a group, in school for our parents and carers to help you to understand your child’s behaviour. The group is based on an approach developed in Solihull that has been helpful to parents and has shown that children’s behaviour tends to improve.

Please come along to school (in Nursery) on Tuesday, 20th September at 2pm to find out all about it, there will even be a hot drink and a biscuit or two waiting for you

There are 3 training days to confirm dates for

More dates will be added as the weeks go on.

Leave of Absence

You will need to complete a leave of absence form when you know your child will not be attending school due to an appointment, event or holiday. These forms can be collected from the school office. It is vital that these forms are filled in correctly, if there are gaps we will return them for additional information to be added to them. Please ensure that both parents names are put on the form even if you do not reside together. The form states you must enter the names/ dates of birth and address of every additional adult who holds Parental Responsibility and/ or care of your child (for example new partner/ spouse who lives at the same address as your child or name of parent who lives at a different address)

Holidays will not be authorised, if you feel any request falls under exceptional circumstances then please add all relevant information to the form so an informed decision can be made. When filling out the form please remember include where you are going.  Please be aware that absences that are classed as unauthorised may be subject to a penalty notice being issued – please see below.

Nursery Places Available

Do you have a child or know a child who was born between 01/09/2018 and 31/08/2019? Annie Lennard Primary school nursery have places available for September 2022. Please contact the school office to reserve your place on 0121 429 4284.

Forms

Over the coming weeks a number of forms will sent home for you to complete and return to school. Please ensure you return the forms as quickly as possible please.

Phone Numbers

Please can you make sure you notify the office if you change your phone number, we have had a number of instances recently where we have needed to get hold of parents and phone numbers are not working. All pupils must have at least 2 contact numbers on their records.

Foodbank

Just a little reminder that Food Bank vouchers are available from school to use at Holy Trinity Church. The Food Bank is open on Tuesday and Friday from 12.00-14.00. Please contact Mrs Hadden for more details.
