7th May 2020 - letter from Mrs Crozier

7th May 2020

Dear Parents

I really hope you are all safe and well, I really thought I might be able to update you with some information next time I wrote to you, hopefully after Sundays announcements we may know a little more of what is going to happen next. and things might become clearer over the coming weeks.

Since my last letter you should have received our staff video message to you all, really hope you enjoyed it – we enjoyed making it.

This week Mrs Rogman has begun ringing all families, if you haven’t had a phone call from her yet, one will be coming.

Class teachers are also starting to ring their pupils too, as well as replying to the emails you have been sending them.

This week it has been my mission to visit every family in school. If I or another member of staff have not knocked your door yet we will be. On some addresses there has been no answer, we will try and get to those addresses again next week.

For those of you we have seen it has been wonderful catching up with you and your children (to be honest it has been the best week I have had since lock down began). We have loved seeing and hearing about everything that you have been doing and it was so nice to hear you say how much you have enjoyed spending quality time with your children and reconnecting a family in what is usually a very fast paced life.

On our walk around we have also really enjoyed looking at how you have decorated your front windows to show your support for the NHS and other key workers. We would love to put photos of them on the website, if you would like yours on the website please take a photo and email it to me on natalie.crozier@annielennard.sandwell.sch.uk

Thankyou to Gracie, Evie and Aliyah who along with Mrs Bavin and Mrs Whitehurst have decorated the pedestrian gate for us – it looks brilliant.

We are updating the website each week with more home learning tasks, so keep checking. As it is VE Day tomorrow we have made a VE Day tab where you will find some activities linked to the celebration of the end of the war in Europe.

As it has been so long and we know children are missing their friends we wondered whether they would like to be part of making a pupil message, this would be like the video the staff did. All we would need you to do is write a message, or draw a rainbow and have a photo taken holding it.  Then email it me (natalie.crozier@annielennard.sandwell.sch.uk )  and then Mr Smith will work his magic and put it all together for us. We will upload it on to the school website so we can all see other. Only send a picture if you give permission for your child’s photo to be on the school website.

 Take care everybody, keep safe

Best Wishes

Mrs N Crozier
