Opening to all Pupils on the 8th March
26th Feb 2021
Friday 26th February 2021
Dear Parents
Well on Monday we had the announcement we have all been waiting for and we now know there is a light at the end of the tunnel that is lock down. We are so excited to be welcoming all the pupils back on Monday 8th March.
Risk assessments are being reviewed once again ahead of reopening but we are confident things are as safe as they can be at school. We are thrilled that we haven’t had 1 positive case since before Christmas and we haven’t had to shut any bubbles during the lockdown period. Staff are continuing to test themselves twice a week and some staff are beginning to be vaccinated as they are now falling into priority groups.
On Monday the 8th all pupils are expected to be back in school unless they have a shielding letter from the GP or they are isolating due to having COVID symptoms or someone has tested positive in the household.
We will be continuing with the staggered entry and exits times as well as the one-way system around school as before the lockdown.

Where there are sibling groups, pupils in different classes can be dropped to their classroom door before their drop off time, the door will be open, if you only have one child please make sure you arrive at the stated time and not earlier please. This helps with limiting the amount of people on site and reduces risks further.
However, at the end of the day pupils will not be dismissed early if they have siblings in other year group that finish earlier, this is to ensure they do not miss anymore teaching time. Parents will be asked to wait (in a socially distanced manner) for the children to be dismissed.
Can I ask all parents that enter the school premises that they continue to adhere to the following;
-
Wear a face mask
-
Keep 2m from each other
-
Only 1 adult to bring children to school
-
Follow the one-way system around school
-
Please ensure you have your mask on when in the conservatory area
-
You must follow all government guidance on new lockdown measures
Can we also remind you that if anybody in your house is showing symptoms or waiting for test results then the whole household MUST isolate, you must not send your children to school in this instance. If you knowingly send your children into school knowing a member of the household are displaying symptoms you are putting the whole school community in danger, we need to protect each other.
In the event of you receiving a positive result you must contact school as soon as possible (even on a weekend and evening) so we can start school processes this is especially important if we need to close down a bubble.
In the event of a positive result and its outside of school hours please text this number – 07483306844. If in school time please ring the school number.

We are still asking for children to come in tracksuits for PE below you will see which class is on which day.
