School Meals
From September we will be able to provide a cold lunch provided to us by SIPS catering. Throughout Autumn 1 we will not have a hot meal option.
Sandwiches will be delivered for those wishing to buy a meal (paid for via parent pay), for pupils who are in receipt of free school meals and for children in reception, year 1 and year 2 that fall under the universal free school meal scheme.
For the first week back, we are asking that all pupils come to school with a packed a lunch from home. If you require us to provide dinner from the second week (7th September) you must have completed the survey by Wednesday 2nd September, https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/ALSschoolmeals if you do not complete we will not order a meal for your child.
We have also had this update from the catering company
The sandwiches being provided will be
-
plain cheese,
-
plain ham,
-
tuna mayonnaise,
-
egg mayonnaise
-
chicken mayonnaise
The sandwiches we buy do have a ‘may contain nuts’ warning on them so it may be wise for children with a nut allergy to bring a lunch from home until we can return to hot meals.
If your child has food allergies/ gluten free/ specific requirements please provide a packed lunch from home for this half term until hot meals are resumed in Autumn 2. Please accept out apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. We also have to order the sandwiches in advance so for this half term we wont be able to change requirements on a daily basis, if you opt to be a school lunch it will be for the whole of autumn 1 (until half term in October) please also not that we will receive a variety of all these sandwiches, we cannot guarantee what sandwich your child will get.
