VE day 80th Anniversary

On Thursday 8th May we will be celebrating the 80th Anniversary of VE Day. The bunting will be out, the 40’s music will be playing as we get ready to celebrate an important event in our history. We will be starting the day with a whole school assembly where children will learn about the significance of the day.
As a school we are marking this occasion with the rest of the country by having a street party in the playground. For the street party we are asking children to bring their own snack (crisps, chocolate, small cake) with them. This is mainly due to the increase in food allergies etc we have in school.
Children are invited to wear Red, White and Blue clothing for the day
