Year 1 fruit salad

Year 1 had a lovely afternoon making our fruit salad for the final outcome of our cooking unit in DT.  We learnt all about food safety and how we have to prepare ourselves before handling food: washing hands, tying long hair back, rolling sleeves up and removing jewellery. We had to use the skills of chopping, slicing and peeling to make our fruit salad according to our design.  We then went to eat our fruit salad in the sunshine! What a lovely way to end the week!
