  • Strep A information

    Following on from our message yesterday regarding Strep A we will today be sending home two letters on behalf of UKHSA (Public Health). Please be reassured that Strep A (Scarlet Fever) remains common, however parents need to be aware of the signs & symptoms and seek medical advice if concerned or strep A is suspected. Children should not attend school if displaying the symptoms of Strep A. UKHSA have advised that any open wounds should be covered & it is particularly important that if your child has chicken pox they must NOT return to school until ALL spots are fully…

    We have an exciting challenge for all the children in school! We are going to be taking part in a sponsored read (sponsored listen – for Early Years).   All of the proceeds will go into buying exciting new books, magazines and other reading material for the library. Children will be able to access all these exciting books during their library visits and when they choose a book to take home.     Friday 21st October 2022 Year 6 Reading workshop and book tasting session  We held another parental Reading workshop and book tasting session on Wednesday 19th October. Mrs Groves explained how Reading is taught in Year 6 and provided parents with information on recommended reads for their children, how they can support at home with the reading bookmarks which detail questions and thought prompts that can be used when reading takes place, and the 'reading challenge' which Year 6 are completing this year to see how many books they can read across a range of genres.
