  • Nasal Flu Vaccination

    On Friday 14th October children will be offered the flu vaccine to all eligible children in year Reception to year 9. The nasal flu vaccine is painless, quick, and side effects are uncommon and generally mild. Please note this is not the Covid vaccination. This winter, there is a very high risk that the NHS could be overwhelmed with illness caused by influenza, which in addition to Covid continues to circulate in the community. Children who have the flu vaccine are less likely to pass the virus on to friends and family, especially those who may be at greater risk…

Year 1 trip to Londonderry Baptist Church  On Tuesday 4th October 2022, Year 1 had a lovely morning visiting LBC to learn all about Harvest and how Christians celebrate it.   • Harvest

    3rd Oct 2022

    We are busy making plans to commemorate Harvest with the children during the first week of October. This year, Annie Lennard Primary School are working with Londonderry Baptist Church, Oldbury, to raise food donations for the needy in the community as well as for the local food bank. We welcome your support and any donations will be gratefully received. These donations will then form a display in our school hall and then in LBC Oldbury for their Harvest Service, before being distributed.     Friday 8th July 2022 Year 5 girls' football tournament at Albion Dome On Thursday 6th July, we took a team of Year 5 girls to the Albion Dome to participate in an all-girls football tournament against other local schools in order to mark the start of the Women's Euros competition 2022. This was the first time our team sported our new Annie Lennard football kit, kindly purchased for us by one of our families. All girls played well and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.     Early Years Bedtime story event On Wednesday 29th June, we held our second Nursery and Reception Bedtime story event. Children were once again able to come to school in their pyjamas and we had another fabulous morning doing all sorts of reading related activities in order to promote reading for pleasure and the importance of a bedtime story. Using a wide selection of books, puppets and story sacks, children and their grown-ups were able to orally re-tell stories, read and be read to, do mindfulness colouring activities based on tricky words and they treated to us a wonderful oral story tell…
